23 March 2011, part 1

An amazing event - sponsored by Coca Cola in collaboration with Maroon 5

As you probably have understand, Maroon 5 is my favorite band and that event was and amazing experience for me!

The concept of the whole event was a 24 hour live recording session, when the members of the band had to create and evolve a song from the beggining. Coca cola provided an interactive wall where people who are using Twitter could send quotes, wishes, greetings to the band members and informed them how they felt about the work in progress.

For me, as music means a lot, is was an exciting thing to expirience the whole process of song-writing and recording. All the details, from guitar chords to recording and mixing a song appear to be an amazing exploration behind the music of Maroon 5.

People could see live how the members of the band interact, how they find out lyrics, chords, details that built up the new song, as well as how do they agree and disagree on their work as also the professional and the personal bond between them.

As it was mentioned the 'magic trip to the rock and roll word' was 24 hours, so the members didn't sleep for about 20 hours or more, or they slept one at the time. In the end the whole song, totaly developed and  extremely catchy, was mixed together very nicely!

The professional view of the band on the piece and its development didn't stop them of having a good time and make people that watched it, at least me, enjoy it very much!

This is going to be an amazing memory for me, that I'm gonna recall it with a great smile on my face!
A big thank you to Coca-Cola and most of all, to all the members of the band, Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Mickey Madden, Matt Flynn, PJMorton for the amazing work they'v done and for the most exciting 24 music hours I've ever had!

I hope more it will come soon!

Much Aloha
